Scattered thunderstorms are moving southeastward through the Browning, Cut Bank, Valier and Heart Butte areas early this evening. Some of these storms could produce a brief period of heavy rain, wind gusts near 40 mph, pea size hail, along with occasional lightning strikes. Those who plan to be outside this evening should be alert for nearby thunderstorms, and if you see lightning or hear thunder, go inside until the storm passes.

With a combination of cold temperatures falling into the mid to upper 30s, clear skies, and calm winds, frost formation is possible across portions of northeast Tennessee, the northern Cumberland Plateau, and all of southwest Virginia tonight and into tomorrow morning. Sensitive outdoor vegetation and plants could be killed if left uncovered or not brought inside. Consider taking protective measures now to protect them from the cold.

Gusty showers will impact the Arlington/Elk Mountain area along Interstate 80 this afternoon and evening. Sporadic gusts to 60 MPH will be possible.
