Since 4 PM MDT there have been several reports of west wind gusts near 60 mph in the Snake Basin between Mountain Home and Twin Falls. These winds are dangerous for high-profile vehicles, especially on north-south roads. In addition, the strong winds have caused areas of blowing dust with visibility as low as one mile. Winds will diminish slowly after 7 PM MDT but will remain gusty through midnight.
