At 1213 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 14 miles southwest of Rangely, or 51 miles southeast of Vernal, moving northeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of west central Rio Blanco County. This includes Colorado 139 between mile markers 54 and 68.
