At 626 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 12 miles east of Lake De Smet, which is 15 miles northeast of Buffalo, moving southeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northeastern Johnson County, including the following locations... Buffalo Johnson County Airport and Johnson County Fairgrounds. This includes the following highways... Interstate 25 between mile markers 289 and 299. Interstate 90 between mile markers 54 and 74.
