At 628 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Powder River Rest Area, which is 30 miles west of Gillette, moving northwest at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. This strong thunderstorm will be near... Powder River Rest Area around 635 PM MDT. This includes Interstate 90 between mile markers 71 and 95.
