Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Northwestern Park County in central Wyoming...
North Central Teton County in northwestern Wyoming...
* WHEN...Until 615 PM MDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Overflowing poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other
areas is occurring or is imminent.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 321 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have
fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Canyon Creek, Sour Creek, Secret Valley Creek, Alum Creek,
Virginia Cascade, Observation Peak Creek, Gibbon Geyser Basin,
Mary Mountain Creek, Cougar Creek, Paintpot Hill Creek, Gibbon
River, Cascade Creek, Yellowstone River, Elk Antler Creek, Nez
Perce Creek, Gibson Geyser Creek, Otter Creek, Cowan Creek,
Spruce Creek, Firehole River, Solfatara Creek, National Park
Mountain Creek, Duck Creek, Trout Creek, Madison River and
Madison Valley Drain. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 2
inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will
result in minor flooding.

Falls, Lower Falls and Harlequin Lake.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or
creeks.
Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
