Description:
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has issued an Air
Quality Advisory for the following counties: Kenosha, Milwaukee,
Ozaukee, Racine, Sheboygan.
WHAT...The Ozone AQI is expected to reach the Unhealthy for
Sensitive Groups (Orange) to Unhealthy (Red) level.
WHERE...Southern Lake Michigan shoreline.
WHEN...From noon until 11 p.m.
Precautionary/Preparedness Actions:
Sensitive groups: Do not do long or intense outdoor activities.
Schedule outdoor activities in the morning when ozone is lower.
Consider moving activities indoors.
People with asthma: Follow your asthma action plan and keep
quick-relief medicine handy.
Everyone else: Reduce long or intense outdoor activity. Take more
breaks, do less intense activities. Schedule outdoor activities
in the morning when ozone is lower.
Additional Details:
Ozone concentrations are forecast to range from Unhealthy for
Sensitive Groups (Orange) to Unhealthy (Red) AQI within the lake
breeze. The highest concentrations are expected from Milwaukee
County south to Kenosha County.
