...The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in West Virginia... Tygart Valley River At Philippi affecting Barbour County. For the Tygart Valley River...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Tygart Valley River at Philippi. * WHEN...From this morning to Thursday morning. * IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, The intersection of US Route 119 and Truck Route 250 is flooded. Also, Sycamore Street and Beech Avenue are flooded. At 21.0 feet, Chestnut and McCartney Streets flood. Vietnam Veterans Park is flooded just upstream from the covered bridge. At 22.0 feet, North High and Woods Streets are flooded. Stevens and North Walnut Streets are flooded. Also, a store is flooded near Stevens and North Walnuts Streets. At 25.0 feet, Most areas along the river are flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - There is no current observed data. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this morning to a crest of 24.5 feet this evening.
