Description:
At 537 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Jackson Mill to near Glenville. Movement
was east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Buckhannon, Audra State Park, Belington, Rock Cave, Junior, Volga,
Lorentz, Century, Sand Run, Alton, Walkersville, Ellamore,
Tallmansville, Overhill, Hodgesville, Horner, and French Creek.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 79 between mile markers 84 and 92, and between mile
markers 97 and 99.
Route 33 between mile markers 1 and 17.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
