* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of Virginia, including the following areas, Albemarle, Augusta, Central Virginia Blue Ridge, Eastern Highland, Nelson, Rockingham and Western Highland and eastern West Virginia, including the following areas, Eastern Pendleton and Western Pendleton. * WHEN...Until 2 AM EDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected this afternoon into the early morning hours of Wednesday. Intense rainfall rates of 2 inches or greater are possible which may result in flash flooding of small streams and creeks. - Please visit www.weather.gov/safety/flood for flood safety and preparedness information
