At 339 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Randolph Macon College to 6 miles north of Moseley. Movement was east at 45 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Richmond, Ashland, Randolph Macon College, Virginia Commonwealth University, Tuckahoe, Highland Springs, Virginia Union University, University Of Richmond, Saint Stephens Church, Mechanicsville, Bon Air, Hanover, Manakin, Manquin, Beulahville, Dawn, Sabot, Laurel, Wyndham, and Mangohick.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Heavy rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for central, north central and east central Virginia.
