Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...A portion of central Virginia, including the following
independent city, City of Lynchburg.
* WHEN...Until 630 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other
areas is occurring or is imminent.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 510 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated no additional heavy
rain is expected. Streams and creeks are expected to be
lowering. However, there may still be a few locations with
lingering minor flooding within the City of Lynchburg.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Burton Creek, Ivy Creek, Fishing Creek, Blackwater Creek,
James River, Harris Creek, Flat Creek and Dreaming Creek.
Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
expected.
