* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of central Virginia, including the following county, Buckingham. * WHEN...Until 645 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 339 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Forsip Creek, Iron Branch, James River, Brick Kiln Branch, Dolittle Creek, Bear Garden Creek, Alabama Creek, Crooked Creek, David Creek and Cole Creek. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Centenary...
