Description:
* WHAT...Heat index values up to 112 expected.
* WHERE...The Hill Country, I-35 Corridor, Coastal Plains, and
portions of the Rio Grande Plains.
* WHEN...Until 8 PM CDT Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Overnight temperatures will stay in the 80s
prompting a heat advisory to remain in effect through the
overnight hours.
Instruction:
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
