Description:
At 725 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 10 miles east of Guthrie to 9 miles northwest of Cross
Plains to 9 miles northwest of Portland, moving southeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings.
Locations impacted include...
Springfield, White House, Cross Plains, Orlinda, Adams, Cedar Hill,
and Cottontown.
This includes Interstate 65 between mile markers 106 and 115.
Instruction:
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
