Description:
At 442 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Belmont, or
near St. Marys, moving east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Harrisville, St. Marys, Middlebourne, Pennsboro, Belmont, North Bend
State Park, Newport, Matamoras, Ellenboro, Friendly, Willow Island,
Maxwell, Schultz, Arvilla, Point Lookout, New Matamoras, Wick,
Hebron, Pike, and Highland.
Instruction:
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
