At 229 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Johnstown, moving east at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Hail may cause minor damage to vegetation. Locations impacted include... Columbus, Newark, Heath, Granville, Johnstown, Utica, Hanover, Granville South, Marne, New Albany, Alexandria, Hartford, St. Louisville, Gratiot, Toboso, Fredonia, US Route 62 at State Route 661, Purity, State Route 310 at State Route 161, and Center Village. This includes I-70 in Ohio near mile marker 144. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a sturdy building. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for central Ohio.
