* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
* WHERE...The southern Piedmont, Sandhills, and southern and central
Coastal Plain in central North Carolina, including the following
counties: Anson, Cumberland, Harnett, Hoke, Johnston, Lee,
Montgomery, Moore, Richmond, Sampson, Scotland, Stanly, Wayne and
Wilson.
* WHEN...From late tonight through Friday morning.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Waves of showers and thunderstorms with heavy rain will focus
along a slow-moving cold front and produce 2 to 4 inches of
rain, with locally higher amounts, late tonight through
Friday morning.
