At 104 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm capable of producing a landspout over Wilmar, or 10 miles southwest of Washington, moving east at 25 mph. HAZARD...Landspouts and wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Washington, River Road, Blounts Creek, Wilmar, Cox Crossroads, and Chocowinity.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
