At 829 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Biscoe, or 12 miles east of Troy, moving east at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Carthage, Robbins, Star, Steeds, Highfalls, Eagle Springs, and Seven Lakes. This includes Interstate 73 between Mile Markers 44 and 46, and between Mile Markers 51 and 58.
Instruction: 
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
