At 522 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles east of Angier, or 13 miles west of Smithfield, moving east at
10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Smithfield, Clayton, Four Oaks, and Coats Crossroads.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 95 between Mile Markers 90 and 87.
Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 312 and 325.
