At 229 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Raleigh, moving east at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Raleigh, Cary, Wake Forest, RDU International, Knightdale,
Rolesville, William B Umstead State Park, and Falls Lake.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 287 and 293, and between Mile
Markers 298 and 301.
Interstate 440 between Mile Markers 1 and 16.
Interstate 540 between Mile Markers 3 and 24.
