Description: 
At 111 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm capable of producing a waterspout over Manns Harbor, or 11 miles north of Stumpy Point, moving southeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous waters. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Manns Harbor, Mashoes, Manteo, Roanoke Island Festival Park, Wanchese, Bodie Island Lighthouse, and Outer Banks Fishing Pier.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
