Description: 
At 921 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Ansonville, or 10 miles north of Wadesboro, moving east at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Wadesboro, Ansonville, Polkton, Norwood, Mount Gilead, Ellerbe, Lilesville, Norman, Uwharrie Haven, and Blewett Falls Lake. This includes Interstate 73 between Mile Markers 26 and 34, and between Mile Markers 37 and 40.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. This thunderstorm is producing an excessive amount of deadly cloud to ground lightning. Seek shelter indoors and stay away from windows. If you cannot seek shelter indoors, an enclosed vehicle can provide safe shelter.
