At 811 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms 8 miles east of Benson, or 12 miles south of Smithfield, moving east at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Goldsboro, Smithfield, Mount Olive, Walnut Creek, Four Oaks, Princeton, Newton Grove, Seven Springs, Mar-Mac, and Cliffs Of The Neuse State Park. This includes the following highways... Interstate 95 between Mile Markers 93 and 87. Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 329 and 350.
