Description: 
At 724 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 9 miles east of Angier to 9 miles northwest of Bruce. Movement was east at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Goldsboro, Smithfield, Wilson, Garner, Clayton, Fremont, Micro, Selma, Four Oaks, and Pine Level. This includes the following highways... Interstate 95 between Mile Markers 121 and 81. Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 307 and 339. NC Highway 264 between Mile Markers 35 and 56.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for central North Carolina.
