Description: 
At 557 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles northeast of Louisburg to near Butner. Movement was east at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Durham, Creedmoor, Louisburg, Wake Forest, Butner, Franklinton, Bunn, Youngsville, Stem, and Castalia. This includes the following highways... Interstate 85 between Mile Markers 178 and 194. the Durham Freeway near Mile Marker 10.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for central North Carolina.
