Description:
At 319 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Clayton, or 10 miles southeast of Raleigh, moving east at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Raleigh, Garner, Clayton, Zebulon, Knightdale, Selma, Wendell, Emit,
Flowers, and Lake Benson.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 292 and 310.
Interstate 440 near Mile Marker 1, and between Mile Markers 12 and
16.
Interstate 540 between Mile Markers 20 and 24.
NC Highway 264 between Mile Markers 20 and 22.
