At 437 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 14 miles north of Robbinsville, or near Smoky Mountains-Twentymile Creek, moving west at 5 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Smoky Mountains-Twentymile Creek, Fontana Village, Fontana Lake, Smoky Mountains-Fontana Area, Deals Gap, and Tapoco.
