At 736 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Raeford, moving northeast at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Fayetteville, Sanford, Laurinburg, Southern Pines, Raeford, Carthage,
Fort Bragg, Pinehurst, Aberdeen, and Maxton.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 95 between Mile Markers 61 and 58.
Interstate 73 between Mile Markers 26 and 31.
