* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of northeast North Carolina, including the following counties, Camden, Currituck and Pasquotank. * WHEN...Until 1030 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 828 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen, and locally up to 2.5 inches. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Currituck, Elizabeth City, Camden, South Mills, Indiantown, Morgans Corner, Corolla, Shawboro, Gregory, Belcross, Sligo, Snowden, Maple, Spences Corner, Riddle, Lambs Corner, Barco, Coinjock, Burnt Mills and Waterlily. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
