Description: 
At 401 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Millbrook, or 11 miles northeast of Poughkeepsie, moving east at 25 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Pleasant Valley, Millbrook, Stanfordville, Staatsburg, Dover Plains, Milan, Salt Point, Oniontown, Hoxie Corner, Dewitt Mills, Millbrook Heights, Shunpike, Pleasant Plains, Timothy Heights, Bangall, Washington Hollow, Mabbettsville, Verbank, Camby, and Verbank Village.
Instruction: 
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for east central New York. Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
