At 1001 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Lewey Lake Campground, or near Speculator, moving east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Indian Lake, Speculator, Inlet, Brown Tract Pond Campground, Limekiln
Lake Campground, Big Moose, Eighth Lake Campground, Lewey Lake
Campground, Eagle Bay, North Creek, Raquette Lake, Golden Beach
Campground, Alger Island Public Campground, Lake Durant Campground,
Sodom, Perkins Clearing, Edwards Hill, Carter Station, Holcombville,
and First Lake.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM EDT for
eastern and east central New York.
