Description:
At 1130 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Parishville to 6 miles east of Edwards to
near Fort Drum. Movement was southeast at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Tupper Lake Village, Clare, Colton, Tupper Lake, Piercefield,
Parishville, Clifton, Pitcairn, Fine, Edwards, Hopkinton, Russell,
Fowler, Pierrepont, Santa Clara, Waverly, Harrietstown, Stark,
Conifer, and Saranac Inn.
Instruction:
Heavy rainfall and frequent lightning are also occurring with these
storms and rainfall may lead to localized ponding of water on some
roadways. Slow down and be safe if encountering heavy rainfall.
