* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast New York, including the following counties, Bronx, New York (Manhattan) and Westchester. * WHEN...Until 200 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1052 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Yonkers, New Rochelle, White Plains, Mott Haven, East Tremont, Port Chester, Rye, Tarrytown, Dobbs Ferry, Throgs Neck Bridge, Laguardia Airport, Harlem, Greenwich, Riverdale, Co-op City, Harrison, Scarsdale, Bronxville, City Island and Mount Vernon. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
