Description:
At 402 PM MDT, although heavy rainfall has currently come to an end,
emergency management continues to report flash flooding in the warned
area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen, and it will take
some time for flood waters to subside.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.
SOURCE...Emergency management reported.
IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Zuni Pueblo, Black Rock, Ramah, Pescado and Chi Chil Tah.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
Arroyos, streams, and normally dry rivers can become raging killer
currents in a matter of minutes. Water in arroyos can travel many
miles and take hours to reach your location from upstream rain areas.
