Description: 
At 241 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 13 miles east of Escondida, or 13 miles east of Socorro, moving southwest at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Socorro, Escondida and Luis Lopez. This includes the following highways... Highway 380 between Mile Markers 4 and 14. Highway 60 between Mile Markers 136 and 138. Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 144 and 154.

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening weather conditions. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
