Description:
At 333 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong
thunderstorms extending from 15 miles west of Los Lunas to 11 miles
northeast of Magdalena, moving east at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Los Lunas, Belen, Valencia, Bosque Farms, Bernardo, Veguita, La
Joya, Jarales, Casa Colorada and Los Trujillos-Gabaldon.
This includes the following highways...
Highway 60 between Mile Markers 166 and 172. Interstate 25 between
Mile Markers 154 and 206.
Instruction:
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
Blowing dust associated with strong thunderstorm winds can reduce
visibility below one quarter mile at times.
