Description:
At 255 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong
thunderstorms extending from 7 miles east of Mesita to 25 miles
northwest of Magdalena, moving east at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Mesita and Alamo.
This includes Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 120 and 141.
Instruction:
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
Blowing dust associated with strong thunderstorm winds can reduce
visibility below one quarter mile at times.
