Description: 
At 220 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8 miles west of La Joya, or 22 miles north of Socorro, moving northeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Bernardo, La Joya, Veguita, Contreras, Abeytas, Sabinal and Las Nutrias. This includes the following highways... Highway 60 between Mile Markers 166 and 173. Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 166 and 184.

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening weather conditions. Blowing dust associated with strong thunderstorm winds can reduce visibility below one quarter mile at times.
