At 841 PM MDT, surface observations indicated a strong thunderstorm 7 miles southeast of Tucumcari, moving northeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Surface observations. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Tucumcari and Quay. This includes the following highways... Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 322 and 346. State Road 104 between Mile Markers 103 and 105.
