* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Southeastern Mora County in northeastern New Mexico... North Central San Miguel County in northeastern New Mexico... * WHEN...Until 945 PM MDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 650 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding. Up to 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 2.5 inches are expected over the area. The potential exists for flash flooding to develop. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Maes, Valmora and Shoemaker. - Hazardous water levels are expected in Pedroso Creek and the Mora River downstream to the Canadian River. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
Instruction: 
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. The heavy rainfall and slow movement of these storms will result in flooding of road intersections, low lying areas, and normally dry arroyos.
