At 637 PM EDT, Flooding impacts will continue, but little additional
rainfall is expected.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of urban areas, highways, streets and
underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying
areas.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Jersey City, Hoboken, Midtown Manhattan, Jackson Heights, Astoria,
Lower East Side, East Village, SoHo, Brooklyn Heights, Long Island
City, Battery Park, Park Slope, Woodside, Greenpoint and Greenwich
Village.
Instruction:
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage
areas and low lying spots.
If you are in a basement, be prepared to move to a higher floor.
