Description:
At 613 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking an area of strong
thunderstorms extending from 40 miles northeast of Sheridan to 14
miles south of Sheridan, moving east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Big Horn, Clearmont, Leiter, Arvada, Moorhead and Banner.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
Heavy rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
