Description:
* WHAT...Periods of wet snow expected. Total snow accumulations up to
5 inches above 6500 feet, with localized amounts in excess of 9
inches near highest peaks.
* WHERE...Elkhorn and Boulder Mountains, Gallatin and Madison County
Mountains and Centennial Mountains, and Ruby Mountains and Southern
Beaverhead Mountains.
* WHEN...Until noon MDT Monday.
* IMPACTS...Plan on cold and wet backcountry conditions with a
heightened hypothermia risk for those not properly dressed. Wet
snow may down trees and block access to forest roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Campers should be aware that it only takes a
few inches of snow to damage tents and other recreational items.
