Description:
At 419 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 11
miles southeast of Huntley, or 17 miles east of Billings, moving
southeast at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Mainly rural areas of South Central Yellowstone County.
This thunderstorm is moving along I-90 between Billings and Hardin.
Instruction:
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
