Description:
At 658 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking an area of strong
thunderstorms extending from 12 miles northwest of Red Lodge to 11
miles south of Red Lodge, moving northeast at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Red Lodge, Bearcreek, Fox, Washoe, Luther, Roberts and Roscoe.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Heavy rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
Persons in campgrounds should consider seeking sturdy shelter until
this storm passes.
