Description:
* WHAT...For the first Lake Wind Advisory, southwest winds 15 to 20
mph, with gusts up to 30 mph. For the second Lake Wind Advisory,
west winds 15 to 25 mph, with gusts up to 40 mph expected.
* WHERE...Fort Peck Lake.
* WHEN...For the first Lake Wind Advisory, until 6 PM MDT this
evening. For the second Lake Wind Advisory, from 6 AM to 8 PM MDT
Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Strong winds and rough waves on area lakes will create
hazardous conditions for small craft.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...For the first Lake Wind Advisory, waves up to
4 feet expected. For the second Lake Wind Advisory, waves up to 5
feet expected.
Instruction:
Boaters on Fort Peck Lake should use extra caution since strong winds
and rough waves can overturn small craft.
