At 720 PM AKDT, Satellite imagery indicated a strong thunderstorm 16
miles east of White Pass, moving southwest at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Satellite indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Skagway Customs, Skagway, Chillkoot Trail Flood Area, White Pass,
and Dyea.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
