Description:
* WHAT...Temperatures up to around 80 expected.
* WHERE...City of Hyder.
* WHEN...Until 7 PM AKDT this evening.
* IMPACTS...Individuals not accustomed to these unusually hot
temperatures for this region may experience heat related illnesses.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Temperatures have already increased into the
mid 70s this morning and will continue to increase into this
afternoon.
Instruction:
Take extra precautions when outside. Wear sunscreen and light loose
fitting clothing. Take action when you see symptoms of heat
exhaustion and heat stroke.
Locations next to the ocean or glaciers will be cooler with a
stronger breeze in the afternoon.
